Training

We recognise that our people are our greatest asset and maximising their development is a key business strategy at Warren Services.

We focus on up-skilling our current workforce as well as apprenticeship training. Richard Bridgman, Chairman of Warren Services has been actively involved in apprenticeships within the company for the past 15 years, as well as promoting their worth in a wider context. He is currently chairman of the SEMTA (the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies) East of England Regional Council and is actively promoting apprenticeships in general as well as campaigning to get the 14-16 programme reinstated. Warren Services has found many of its key employees through these schemes and believes that they are vital to ensure that skilled engineering thrives in the UK.

Warren Services works closely with local schools and colleges and our new apprentices will be attending West Suffolk College on a day release basis. West Suffolk College has also set up a pioneering one year course in order to fill the gap left by the Government scrapping of the 14-16 programme. Warren is proud to be sponsoring two students for this course who we are hoping will come to Warren for valuable work experience as part of their course.

In addition to apprentice training, Warren Services also takes pride in up-skilling and developing all of its employees. Core training takes place for all employees but examples of other recent training include Amada Laser and Brake Press programming and operation, Alphacam, Internal Auditor and Solidworks.

We work with Schools, Colleges, Universities and JobcentrePlus on work expierence programmes and offer Intern and Graduate placements, many leading to full time employment.
