DIGITALISATION
Optimising processes and supporting collaborative working.
Optimising processes and supporting collaborative working.
Our company embraced automation, paperless working and digital systems from the start. We installed an ERP system when there were only 20 employees because we had an ambition to grow and knew the future was in data, not paper. We have always seen digital technology not as a nice to have but as essential for improving all aspects of the business.
Our focus on People – and our desire to give them fulfilling, creative careers – means we are always looking for ways to automate mundane tasks. That includes using software robots to perform repetitive administrative functions. This is not just about improving efficiency; it is also about maintaining employee enthusiasm and interest in their work.
Our policy is to collect and store only relevant and necessary data. We upload each project to our own Manufacturing Execution System – ‘Warren Web’ – which provides every employee with all the information they need to do their job accurately and efficiently. It reminds our engineers and technicians of all the steps in the manufacturing process, including essential measurements.

At the same time, Warren Web gathers data direct from our machines so we can inspect and track every item of work in real time. It enables us to collate this data in accessible digital inspection and material certification packs. These allow our clients to verify that we have completed each piece of work to their precise specification.
We are developing Warren Web to make it easier to use and more valuable to our customers. In time, we want all customers to have full access so that we can work directly and seamlessly with them through the system. Our ambition is to create a digitally enabled ‘glass factory’ with completely transparent work processes that enhance our Partnerships.
