DEFENCE & MILITARY
Warren has gained extensive knowledge and experience providing manufacturing services to customers across multiple sectors. We have now leveraged that expertise to become a flexible, proactive, diligent and trusted manufacturer to the Defence and Military Sector. This gives us the potential to create more innovative and agile ways of solving all our customers’ problems.
Our strategy has focused on developing our welding and fabrication teams skills, qualifications and business processes. As a result, we are now able to meet the exacting technical standards that our Defence and Military customers require for welded fabrications.
We have adapted our existing in-house wet painting processes to comply with Defence and Military wet paint specifications. As a result, we can now make fully finished products in-house for all our customers. This helps reduce lead times and the carbon footprint of our finished products.
We carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure we stay on track. An essential part of our service to our Defence and Military customers is the supporting quality control documents. By collating these digitally, ready for final delivery, we ensure a seamless flow of data on processes and parts, and eliminate delays when our customers receive their goods.
Warren has a proud history of training and employing apprentices, including many who have gone on to hold leadership positions in the business. This was recognised most recently when we won the prestigious ‘Medium-sized Apprenticeships Employer of the Year (50-249 employees)’ award at the Apprenticeships Norfolk Awards 2025. Our apprentice programme demonstrates our dedication and passion for training the work force of our future. It ensures we have the right people, with the right skills to deliver for all our customers both now and for years to come.
Warren is also doing its bit to protect our planet, including developing sustainable processes and reducing inputs. As a result, we will soon be Net Carbon Neutral (Scope 1 and 2). We will achieve this by using energy efficient systems, recycling materials, insulating our buildings, using EVs and generating our own power. This has the added advantage of making us more competitive, which is good for Warren and our customers.
Our IT team, with support from the whole organisation, has achieved Cyber Essentials Plus qualification. This is another critical requirement for our defence sector customers, but many other customers say the qualification is important to them too. Soon all our customers will benefit from our investment in this area.

AGRICULTURE & FOOD PRODUCTION
We work with UK agricultural machinery manufactures who sell their machines globally. They provide us with their technologically advanced designs, and we use those to build their high-quality equipment. We adhere to exacting standards for fabrications and mechanical assemblies that increase productivity and deliver machines that are built to last.
ARCHITECTURAL
Warren has worked with customers in the architectural industry for over 15 years. During that time, we have established a number of key processes and secured critical accreditations that meet specific architectural industry requirements. These include EN-1090 EXC3 and the QUALICOAT powder coating standard, both achieved thanks to the work of our dedicated team.
We are now one of only 18 UK companies that can apply powder coating to Qualicoat’s standard. The 8-stage process includes washing raw aluminium parts, then spray painting them in a fully enclosed booth before oven baking. We test multiple times every day to ensure we adhere to the exacting Qualicoat standard and deliver the durable coating required for the architectural environment.
ENERGY (RENEWABLES, OIL AND GAS)
We have provided a full manufacturing service to customers in the energy industry for over 20 years.
We tend to manufacture large fabrications for these energy sector customers, in the region of 3M x 3M x 2M. As well as requiring machining and painting, they tend to have specific requirements, such as load testing, and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) of welds. Warren can provide energy clients with a complete manufacturing package backed by our accreditations, including:
EN-3834-2 quality certification
CSWIP 3.2 Visual Welding Inspection
International Responsible Welding Coordinator
Our large CNC milling and turning machines enable us to handle large components that require machining post weld. We can then provide specific and robust finishing processes, including shotblasting and painting, for these machined parts and welded fabrications. Our processes ensure durable coatings that can survive the aggressive environmental conditions in which they operate.
Our painting process includes blasting to white metal to create surfaces ready for caulking. We hand-paint corners, brackets and crevices that spray painting can’t reach, to prepare all surfaces correctly. Our quality control team check this base coat to ensure we’ve applied the right Dry Film Thickness (DFT) before applying further paint layers. We then continue the painting process to achieve the required final thicknesses. This ensures the finished parts will last as long as our customer need.
INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION
Our industrial automation customers are global technology businesses. They are redefining their sectors with innovations and changing the world in which we live and work. We are helping them make their visons a reality.
By applying all our people’s skills, technical knowhow, and manufacturing services, we help customers achieve technically challenging goals. We excel when we are involved from the start of projects and can embed essential quality requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and best practice manufacturing processes. This ensures we build production on strong foundations. Our boundary-pushing customers find our agility invaluable because it enables them to deliver world-class innovation globally.
SPECIALIST VEHICLES & ENVIRONMENTAL MACHINERY
We have worked with market leading manufacturers of specialist vehicles for over 30 years. We deliver line-side machined components, complex fabrications, and full machine assemblies to customers in this sector. We support them by fully manufacturing new products as well as legacy spare parts. Our production processes ensure that these functionally engineered vehicles and machines have the environmental integrity needed to perform in all the environments in which they operate.
THEATRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE & EQUIPMENT
Warren has a rich history of delivering seemingly impossible requirements for the Theatrical industry. We have, over the last 25 years, honed a unique set of skills that our customers require. Working on these theatrical projects is both challenging and super exciting for everyone involved. We work with the Tier 1 manufacturers in the sector and understand the technical requirements that enable them to support artists, actors and performers all over the world.
