Congratulations to Natalia on successfully completing her Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.

This week, we had the opportunity to personally congratulate Natalia on achieving this important milestone and officially becoming a qualified Business Administrator.

At Warren, apprentice success is always something worth celebrating. This can involve apprentices developing practical engineering skills on the shop floor, or building their careers within our office teams. We are committed to supporting them as they learn, grow and progress.

Throughout her apprenticeship, Natalia has balanced her studies alongside her role within the Enquiries team, demonstrating dedication, commitment and a strong willingness to learn. Completing an apprenticeship requires both hard work and perseverance, and Natalia should be extremely proud of what she has achieved.

Apprenticeships continue to play an important role in developing talent across Warren, helping individuals gain valuable qualifications while building real-world experience within the business.

Celebrating 20 years of Lee Charlton

Reaching 20 years with one company is a remarkable achievement, and we are proud to celebrate this milestone with Lee Charlton.

Lee joined Warren two decades ago as a Fabricator Welder, working under the guidance of Ian Coulson, whose high standards and no-nonsense approach helped shape many successful careers within the business.

Prior to joining Warren, Lee had worked extensively in structural steel fabrication for buildings. Moving into Warren’s manufacturing environment presented a different challenge, but he quickly adapted and became an important part of the team.

A significant turning point in Lee’s career came when Warren invested in its first Waterjet cutting machine. The business needed someone to take ownership of the new technology, learn its capabilities and integrate it into daily operations. Lee stepped forward to take on the challenge. While Ian was understandably reluctant to lose a skilled welder from his team, the decision proved to be an excellent one.

Lee successfully mastered every aspect of the Waterjet operation, from programming and production through to maintenance and optimisation. His expertise helped establish the technology as a key part of Warren’s manufacturing capabilities.

As the business continued to grow, Warren made another major investment, purchasing a Laser cutter alongside a large Amada Brake Press and SolidWorks CAD/CAM software. Lee worked closely with Richard and Will Bridgman to evaluate the available options, visiting suppliers across the country and carrying out extensive trials before selecting the right equipment for the business.

Building on his Waterjet experience, Lee undertook specialist training on the new machinery alongside Will Bridgman and then-apprentice Danny Rayner. The successful introduction of laser and waterjet cutting has since become an important part of Warren’s long-term business strategy and growth.

Throughout these developments, Lee continued to progress through the company. From Laser and Fabrication Manager to Production Manager at Fison, each role brought new responsibilities and fresh challenges. Along the way he developed skills in team leadership, planning, customer and supplier relationships, IT systems and operational management.

Today, Lee serves as Operations Director, playing a key role in the continued success and development of Warren.

Looking back over the last 20 years, Lee would be the first to acknowledge that the journey has not always been easy. However, through hard work, determination and the support of colleagues across the business, he has built an impressive career and made a significant contribution to Warren’s success.

Easter raffle raises £450 for charity

Warren’s Easter raffle was a great success this year, bringing colleagues together for a good cause and raising an impressive £450 for the British Heart Foundation.

The raffle saw strong support from across the business, with plenty of ticket sales and a good range of prizes up for grabs. A full list of winners was shared on the day, rounding off what was a positive and well-supported event.

A big thank you goes to everyone who bought tickets and helped make the raffle such a success, as well as to those who kindly donated prizes. Contributions like these play an important part in supporting charities that make a real difference.

Charlotte Celebrating 10 years at Warren

We’re delighted to celebrate a special milestone for Charlotte Seymour, who recently marked 10 years with Warren.

Charlotte joined the business in 2016 after leaving university, starting her career with us as an Administrator within the Finance team, reporting to Becky Mason. Her ability and dedication were quickly recognised and within her first year she progressed to become a Planning Administrator before advancing to her current role of Senior Planner in 2019.

During her time in the Orders department, Charlotte has played an important role in supporting and developing others. She has trained several members of the team, many of whom still work within the business today and have progressed into new roles of their own.

Charlotte is widely known across Warren for her impressive analytical skills and problem-solving ability. With a strong grasp of Excel and other analytical tools, she has a talent for working through complex queries and identifying practical solutions. Combined with her decade of experience within the company, it’s no surprise she is highly respected throughout the business.

Outside of work, Charlotte has always had a strong interest in physics and maths. Alongside her full-time role, she has spent several years continuing her studies through home learning, including working towards a maths degree – an impressive commitment.

She also has another passion that many of us benefit from – baking. Over the years Charlotte has brought in a variety of delicious treats for the team, and her Victoria sponge and brownies have become something of a legend in the office.

Celebrating 10-year anniversaries at Warren

Reaching a decade with one company is a fantastic achievement – and this year, we’re proud to celebrate not one but two 10-year milestones at Warren.

Josh – 10 years of design, leadership and innovation

Congratulations to Josh on reaching the 10-year mark – a full decade of design expertise, engineering production know-how and of course, surviving meetings that could sometimes have been one of his famously detailed emails.

Over the years, Josh has been behind some of our strongest design work, playing a key role in projects including NexGen, ANC and ALS. His technical insight and commitment to getting things right have made a real difference to the quality and performance of what we deliver.

Now leading our Engineering Department, Josh has taken on the significant task of smoothing the transition from engineering into production. It’s a challenge that requires clarity, collaboration and persistence – and he has made it look effortless. We are moving in the right direction, and his drive to continually improve the way we work is something we greatly value.

Thank you, Josh for ten years of excellence, innovation and for keeping your sense of humour intact when “just one small change” turns into something far more involved. We’re looking forward to the next chapter.

Daniel – 10 years of skill, precision and steady progress

Daniel, congratulations on reaching an incredible 10-year milestone with Warren.

From your early days working on the saws, it was clear you had a sharp eye for quality. Over the years, we’ve seen you grow, develop your skills and confidently take on new challenges. Your progression into a highly competent brake press operator/bender is a testament to your hard work, steady improvement and commitment to doing things properly.

Your attention to detail and pride in your work reflect the standards we aim to uphold across the business.

Outside of work, we know you value your weekends spent fishing – a well-earned bit of calm for someone who brings such care and focus to their role each day. You truly are a good egg.

Thank you both for your dedication, loyalty and the contribution you’ve made over the past decade. Long service like this is something we are incredibly proud of at Warren – and we’re delighted to celebrate it.

Christmas raffle success for Macmillan

This year’s Christmas raffle was a huge success for our chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Thanks to everyone who took part, we raised £570 through the raffle, with a further £430 raised from the sale of Chromebooks. This brought the total donation to an incredible £1,000, which will go directly towards supporting the vital work Macmillan does.

Charity fundraising has become a very important part of life at Warren Services, and it’s something we’re very proud of. Each year, the generosity and enthusiasm shown by our team helps us make a meaningful contribution to causes that matter.

A big thank you to everyone who got involved, and special thanks to Christine and Becky Webb for their help in making the raffle such a success.

Apprentice journey – learning across Warren

We were pleased to welcome three new apprentices from a local high school to Warren Services in September. Kelci, Danny and Cody have begun their Level 2 apprenticeship studies with West Suffolk College, alongside hands-on department rotations across our Brickfields and Fison sites.

Before Christmas, Cody spent time working in the Sapphire department at Brickfields. Sapphire Balconies is a leading provider of balconies for modern, high-spec apartment developments, and we’ve worked with them for over ten years. During his placement, Cody enjoyed being part of the team and gaining insight into the production process, noting how many of the manufacturing stages are recurrent and precision-led.

Cody has since moved into the Paint area at Brickfields, where he is already proving to be a great addition to the department. We’re looking forward to seeing how he continues to develop, alongside Kelci and Danny, as they progress through their rotations and build their skills within the business.

Supporting apprentices as they learn, grow and gain real-world experience remains an important part of life at Warren, and we’re excited to watch all three continue to excel.
